Welcome to Barry Amateur Radio Society

Our radio society was formed over 40 years ago in Barry
At the Barry College of Further Education
Our founder being the late Dan Adams GW3VBP

Dan instilled in his pupils  the spirit of free thinking and experimenting in both radio and electronics
this ideal is still very much to the fore in B.A.R.S. to this day

The society is very active in all aspects of our hobby
 with the membership is always willing
 to help others gain further knowledge and advancement in radio communications



 






Club Radiates to the World
  • 7 element Highgain DX beam

    We have a 70 foot tower within 500 yards of the sea great DX location


  • Radio Shack

    The membership has full access to a modern shack using Icom radio with computer logging
